UASI Large Foam/Water Delivery System

The Large Foam/Water Delivery System was purchased by The State of New Jersey's Division of Fire Safety through an Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Grant. UASI encompasses six counties: Union, Essex, Hudson, Bergen, Passaic and Morris. The Division has identified specific hazards in these counties, particularly petro-chemical industries. A quick survey of the local fire departments found that the capacity for flammable liquid firefighting was inadequate. The Division has established foam caches with a minimum storage of 10,000 gallons of foam and a means to generate, distribute and deliver the extinguishing agent. Millburn Fire has received a Foam Tanker and Quick Attack Unit as part of the system.
