The Farmington Fire Department had received some FAA funding to purchase a new Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle. This 2009 Oshkosh Striker 1500 is equipped with a 1950 gallon per minute pump and carries 1500 gallons of water, 210 gallons of foam, and 500 pounds of dry chemical extinguishing agent. The unit is assigned to FFD Station #3 at the Four Corners Regional Airport.
