New Jersey Firemen's Home Museum

The New Jersey Firemen's Home is a historic landmark located at 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ. The Home rests on 88 acres with some of the most scenic property in Morris County. The New Jersey Firemen's Home, chartered by the New Jersey State Legislature in 1898, took in its first firefighters on September 22, 1900. The home has cared for a number of my family members and is a great benefit to New Jersey Firefighters. It is also home to their 8,000 square foot., two-story museum, which opened in May 1985. Steamers, ornate hose carts, and fire trucks are among the many items on display for all to see. The website for the New Jersey Fireman’s Home can be linked from www.njstatefiremensrelief.com.
