Person Struck by Train - 10/29/10 - Washington, DC


 

On October 29th, 2010 DCFD firefighters responded to the Metro Center Station for a report of a person struck by a train and trapped underneath the car. Engine Company 16, Truck Company 4, Rescue Squads 1 & 2, Hazmat 1, the Special Operations Battalion Chief and EMS units arrived on the scene and confirmed a trapped victim. The extraction took about 30 minutes and the victim was transported in very serious condition to George Washington Hospital.
