Brush Fire - 06/09/12 - Farmington, NM

Shortly after the noon hour on June 9th, 2012 the San Juan County Combined Communications Center started receiving calls for a brush fire behind 5006 Rancho de Animas Drive in the City of Farmington, NM. Due to the proximity of structures and out buildings, first due FFD Engine Company #2 requested that the incident be upgraded to a structure fire assignment. As additional companies and Acting Battalion Chief Vince Lawing were responding, Engine Company #2 and Brush #2 were able to stop the forward progression of the fire. Units remained on-scene mopping-up for about an hour.
