Structure Fire - 05/11/08 - Hart Valley, NM

On May 11th, 2008 just before 20:00 hours San Juan County Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a house fire at #62 County Road 3320. Additional information from dispatch indicated that everyone had evacuated the structure. SJCFD Deputy Chief Doug Hatfield arrived on scene and reported that he had fire showing from the windows of a single-wide mobile home. As personnel and equipment from the Hart Valley Fire District began to arrive, firefighters discovered that the hydrant that they had back-laid a supply line to was dead. Despite the initial water supply problem, firefighters made a quick knockdown on the fire. Mutual aid was provided by the Flora Vista and Lee Acres fire districts.
