On June 115th, 2008 at approximately 15:30 hours Engine Company 2 and Medic 5 were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 30th Street and East Main. Engine 2 arrived on scene and radioed that they had two vehicle MVA with two patients complaining of neck pain. At this time the Incident Commander, Captain Jos Lesscher requested that Ladder 2 be dispatched to the scene.

After packaging the two patients for transport, firefighters went to work addressing other hazards at the scene. The hood on one of the vehicles was popped and the battery disconnected. Absorbent was also spread over some fluid that had leaked from the wreck. The two injured were transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center.
